Beautiful work Sam, absolutely wonderful colours and comp! In spite of the title and her holding the sword, the painting makes me feel very peaceful. It would be great to have it on a wall. By the way, it definitely shows.

(submit to Spectrum, they'll love it! :)

This artwork is really interesting. It implies de viewer to look at it in the details. I like the strange atmosphere, the runes on the sword and their meanings, the simple but efficient composition. It's a great job.
Just, stupid question : why didn't she has a nose ? :D

Thanks! I'm glad you took the time to appreciate it. I just thought it looked nice with no nose so I went with it

It does show, it's simply stunning. I love the colors, the mood, just wonderful. What do the different runes symbolize/say?
An individual meaning applied to each rune or do they make out a word?

Thankyou. Each rune on the sword has a different meaning, representing the blessings and burdens of taking control of your life. From the top, they represent: Self-Discipline, Creativity, Hope, Challenge, Setback and Ending/Hopelessness.
